Do you have a morning routine? One that sets you up for the day, gets you all revved up, in a positive mindset, and tops up your personal development so that you are ready to smash the day ahead?
I do and I’d love to share this with you! It’s something that you might have heard of before called Miracle Morning by El Halrod.
The miracle morning is a method developed by Hal Elrod. It’s a bestseller across many platforms and lots of people swear by using it to transform their lives.
I really advise you to get the book and read up more on this!
S.A.V.E.R.S.
The principles are pretty simple… There are 6 habits which all successful people integrate into their lives. All rolled up into the acronym SAVERS.:
S is for Silence
A is for Affirmation
V is for Visualisation
E is for Exercise
R is for Reading
S is for Scribing
S is for Silence

Otherwise known as meditation.
This is where you carve out some time to quieten your mind! To stop all those 1000s of thoughts racing through your head. Because we all know some of these don’t serve you well!
Now I didn’t know this when I started out but mediation comes in many different forms, it doesn’t have to be you crossed-legged on the floor chanting.
For me, it’s walking my dogs! This brings me so much joy. It’s where I clear my mind and think about the day ahead. I appreciate all of the wonderful nature around me, and I show my gratitude for the day.
And this is where the magic happens. I get my inspiration on these walks, those golden nugget ideas, and solutions come to me on problems I have been thinking about.
So, what will you do to explore and have fun working out what works for you?
A is for Affirmation

It’s basically talking positively about yourself or what you want to happen! For some reason, most of us always think about the worst outcome that might happen or about our not-so-good qualities! And accept living a mediocre life.
Did you know YOU have the power right now within you to change this! Affirmations are a wonderful way to start. It’s a positive statement that you say out loud or write down and repeat!
Start small and say, ‘Today is going to be a GREAT DAY!’ And believe it! The more you do this one small thing, just watch how amazingly your days start to be great! There is so much you can learn about this, just start trying out what works for you.
I listen to an app on Spotify called Think Positive and I have 2 apps where I get inspirational quotes/affirmations. I also have Powerful Thought cards! Why? Because we all need a little help to get ourselves in a positive mindset.
V is for Visualisation

This is where you picture in your mind how you desire the day to be. Picture it with your mind and more importantly how this makes you feel.
This is a head and heart one. Most of you might be doing this already without realising it, but perhaps thinking of the worst-case scenario happening and how you might deal with it? Well, this isn’t that!
I want you to imagine what if everything works out how you really hope it might, what if it all works out in a positive outcome!?
Wow, imagine, just imagine when that starts happening for you. And with Visualisation, it’s possible!
E is for Exercise

This can mean any form of movement really. Find what works for you.
Exercise for me has changed over the years. It used to be so that I would lose weight and look good! Now it is all about my mental well-being.
And do you know what? Now that I have shifted focus I seem to get both, my weight loss is a byproduct of my positive mental well-being. In the mornings I choose to do a 5-10 min yoga routine. And then in the evening around 5 pm, I have my Personal Training sessions 3-4 times a week.
The reason I do yoga is the stretching movements. Have you noticed that this is what dogs do every time they wake up from a nap? So I thought if it’s good enough for dogs then it’s good enough for me!!
In summary, choose what feels good to you, and you will find that this is what makes it easy to stick to!
R is for Reading

Reading for your personal development.
Something that inspires you. I have a bookcase of personal development books that people have recommended to me over the years. And this is the time when I make time to read them. I have my highlighter pen at hand and I highlight anything that resonates with me or I can use in my work/home life.
Depending on how long I have in the morning this can be anything for 5–15 minutes. Can you imagine how many books you can read if you are reading 2-3 chapters a day?
Here is a picture of some of the books I have read and the company I have in the mornings.
S is for Scribing

Scribing aka Journalling! This is a wonderful way of getting what is in your head, out of your head.
The most important thing to remember here is that your writing/scribbling doesn’t have to be perfect, no one is going to read it except you! If you ever read it at all!
What do you write then?
What ever comes to you. There is some guidance in the MM book, to get you started. For me, I just let the pen flow, but it usually consists of what happened the day before, celebrating my small achievements, what is planned today and what I am looking forward to.
I write my affirmations here from the app I listen to. The most important thing to mention here is that all my writing comes from a positive outlook. I don’t bring to life any negative thoughts or fear I might have onto the page.
What’s Your Routine?
I’d love to hear about any morning routines that you have that set you up for the day?
And just remember nobody is perfect!
Over the last few weeks, I have had some big changes. I’ve been really enjoying all of the manifested opportunities becoming a reality. This means that I’ve not been doing my miracle morning routine. However, I didn’t beat myself up about it. I know I can do the MM anytime!
So, I started again today, and it was wonderful. The affirmation apps I use resonated so much with me.
I know the opinions of others about my life are irrelevant!
New and exciting opportunities are manifesting in my life all the time.
So, today is a good day for me. I hope yours is for you.
